2008 Summary

What a great fall season the school has had. Teams that competed in CCS included Field Hockey, Girls Volleyball,
Girls Tennis, and Girls & Boys Cross Country. Tennis went further to CIF-NorCal to win the Finalist title, while

Individual Accomplishments:
Catherine Nguyen: Finished the season with an outstanding individual
record of 23-4 playing the #2 singles position for the team. A finalist in the SCVAL Individual League Championship.
Kara Wang: Finished the season with an individual record of 23-4. Teamed up with Lindsey Marsh to capture 2nd place in the SCVAL Doubles Championship.
Given a bid to the CCS Doubles Championship, the team placed 3rd.
Lindsey Marsh: Played the #1 singles position all season and became
noticed with big wins over many top players. Lindsey was an emotional leader
off the court providing support and motivation before, during, and after every match.
Teamed up with Kara Wang to place 2nd in the SCVAL Doubles Championship and 3rd in the CCS Doubles
Championship.
Lisa Asai and Mary Edman: Played the #2 and #3 doubles position for
the season. Finished the season with a record 19-2 when playing together. Highlight of the season was a comeback from 3-5 down in the 3rd set to win
7-5 and capture the league title for Saratoga. Unseeded in the SCVAL Doubles Championships, the team was able to upset two teams on their way to a 3rd
place finish. Competed in the CCS Doubles Championship, losing in the quarterfinals.
